Remembering Mr. Stern
Posted by Gina under memories
Mr. Stern was one of those men who can put anyone at ease. I met him for the first time while my mother was in the hospital. He was there visiting his wife- he was so dedicated to his wife. My brother got to know him through the hospital and had grown to be good friends with him. He was a very funny man and shared my brother’s love of music. Mr. Stern gave Ryan a dulcimer a few months back and we had fun trying to figure the thing out :-) Even after his wife passed away, he called Ryan and kept in touch.
I was surprised to hear that he had passed away… I know it was a big loss for my brother as the two of them were close. He was kind enough to include Ryan in his will- an amazing gesture from such an amazing man. I know he missed his wife terribly and was in a lot of pain himself. I’m thankful that Ry got to spend time with him and that he befriended mom as well. I wish I could have known him better but I am appreciative of the legacy he has left behind through them.
You are missed, Mr. Stern.
